snapshot

i was away yesterday. i apologize. i was actually quite busy here at the lounge. i received a shiny new computer for the wonderful world of data entry that i've stumbled upon. i was overwhelmed with snapshot party troubles and concerns, and this place was a madhouse...thus time for blogging slowly slid down the list of important things to do on tuesday. enough excuses.
great things did come together yesterday in the world of snappy snapshot for our new night at our new venue which also happened to be nicco's benefit for top surgery. i spoke to the ladies at GO magazine...a monthly lesbo mag here in the greater nyc area, and they hooked us up with some consideration for coverage in next months issue and we began as a distribution point for their mag...a place where the lovely ladies can pick up their fav mag and take it home with them...leave it next to the toilet like i do and read it when they poo.
upon arriving at my house in the flustered state i was in, i immediately began final cut pro boot camp with sam who was attempting to put her documentary on dvd. we ran into bullshit problems, which sucked, and ended up having to use a really badly compressed version. when i finally got to the club i had trouble with the mixer but once kim anne arrived everything was flowers because she showed me the way and she is wonderful.
the best part about last night, despite the fact that it was an incredible turnout, was that i got to see two long lost friends...the infamous ms tamme t (of friendster and myspace fame) and shady shay straight outta hotlanta...tho here to stay if i have anything to do with it. otherwise the usual suspects came by to make me smile, the littles, t'ai's, randee's, michelle's, sam's, terry's, frankie's, and everyone else i forgot because im exhausted and at work on very very very little sleep.
my set was, i have to admit, hotness. the kids seemed to like it and shook their asses like they do when i drop the cuts. i got a special visit from the lounge crew consisting of ms j, the seder queen and johnny z the z man. twas an interesting night folks and im quite proud of our little night that could...and did. shout outs to my girls on the team...we pulled this together. finally.
and the rest is history. i apologize for the unenthusiastic writing you are reading...i am out of it. more to come, tho please feel free to comment about your experiences last night if you had the pleasure of being there.
